More isn’t always better. The fastest progress comes from training hard enough to force adaptation, then recovering well enough to actually adapt. Burnout is just recovery debt catching up with you.
Structure your week: alternate hard and easy days, and don’t stack your most demanding sessions back-to-back. A simple split — push, pull, legs, and a lighter conditioning or mobility day — works beautifully.
Protect sleep like it’s a training session, because it is. Most recovery, muscle repair and hormone balance happen overnight. Aim for 7–9 hours and watch your performance climb.
Finally, listen to your body. A planned deload week every 6–8 weeks keeps you progressing long-term. Train smart, recover hard, and you’ll still be getting stronger a year from now.
